On Wednesday 11 April 2018, I’ll be at the Barbican Centre in London at the BARS Native Sessions event. I’ve been asked to make a Trap/Hip Hop style beat live in no more than 10 minutes using Maschine MK3 and Komplete.
There will be approx 500 people in attendance over the course of the evening and there’s lots of experienced industry heads there too. I’m looking forward to seeing P Money, Ms Banks, Steel Banglez, JayKay, Sir Spyro and DJ Target.
This one is in London, but there’s others around the globe taking place in Berlin, Paris, Tokyo, L.A., Toronto, and Mexico City, with performances, discussions, and workshops, the Native Sessions series will feature some of the freshest, and most experimental names in global hip hop, rap, and grime.
I’m also looking forward to networking with other producers, rappers and people involved in the music business. I also hope to get a chance to hear Meaghan Garvey speak on what bars mean to the scene, dissects the events, and featured artists.
